Le pôle Images & Réseaux intervient depuis 2005 sur les régions Bretagne et Pays de la Loire, qui représentent 15% du PIB numérique national, au cœur d’un écosystème numérique particulièrement riche.
Dans le cadre de la phase IV des pôles de compétitivité (2019-2022), les pôles Images & Réseaux et Transaction électroniques sécurisées (TES), implanté en Normandie, se sont rapprochés et une alliance stratégique a été conclue en 2020.
Grâce à cette alliance, les deux pôles fédèrent aujourd’hui la première communauté d’experts du numérique à l’échelle du Grand Ouest avec près de 400 membres.
Ils partagent un comité d’experts commun composé d’une cinquantaine de professionnels qualifiés renforçant ainsi leurs champs d’expertise sur 6 domaines techniques majeurs (Confiance numérique et sécurité, Données et intelligence, Réseaux et infrastructures, Matériel et Logiciel, Photonique, Interactivité et Immersivité) et sur des domaines d’usage en forte demande de solutions numériques comme l’agriculture, la santé, les industries culturelles et créatives, l’industrie du futur, les territoires intelligents ou encore la défense.
En 2021, l’action du Pôle s’est resserrée autour de plusieurs activités majeures tant pour son développement, et la préparation de la phase V des pôles, que pour ses adhérents, partenaires et financeurs.
L’accompagnement dans l’identification des opportunités de développement et financements autour de la R&D, l’expertise dans le montage, le suivi et l’évaluation des projets sont des atouts du Pôle reconnus au niveau régional, national et européen.
Ces compétences et les valeurs du Pôle ont suggéré un positionnement renforcé de ses travaux autour de préoccupations transverses et stratégiques telles que le numérique de confiance et le numérique responsable.

- Training in Sustainable IT (e.g. attending a training course lasting several days)
- Communicate to its stakeholders on the actions taken
- Implementing data governance of your organisation and GDPR compliance or by following the principles of the GDPR in compliance with locally applicable data protection rules locally applicable data protection rules for other countries
- Favour the purchase of sustainable equipment (reparability and durability criteria)
- Engage with actors in the reuse sector and/or the social and solidarity economy in the management of the end-of-life of my equipment
- Integrate environmental requirements in my calls for tender and establish a dialogue and measurement elements over the duration of the service with my suppliers
- Ensuring that its suppliers and service providers comply with their GDPR requirements or follow the principles of the GDPR in compliance with locally applicable data protection rules for other countries, environmental, social and diversity
- Use start-ups, associations and sustainable innovation projects to meet my needs for products and services, and participate in the structuring and improvement of these sustainable offers and services
- Plan the archiving and cleaning of data with its teams to reduce their environmental footprint
- Ensure the development of useful and efficient digital services
- Reduce the environmental impact of its services: weight of images, videos, plugins, by favouring simpler or less energy-consuming solutions
- Make its digital services accessible to as many people as possible (even in the event of poor connection quality, disability, etc.)
- Facilitate the proper semantic understanding of its digital services in a clear and educational language
- Favour the use of local and European tools in order to encourage the consolidation of players who respect the sovereignty of European data
- Encouraging territorial innovations by testing and deploying social and environmental digital products and services
