MULTICULTURELLE ET INTERNATIONALE
Université multiculturelle, avec plus d'un tiers d'étudiants et de chercheurs étrangers, l'Université libre de Bruxelles a fait de l'international une réalité quotidienne à l'image de Bruxelles, ville cosmopolite par excellence. Sa dynamique en matière d'ouverture à l'Europe et au monde se traduit par de nombreux accords, collaborations et partenariats privilégiés avec quelques-unes des meilleures universités du monde.
UNE RECHERCHE DE POINTE
Quatre Prix Nobel scientifiques, une Médaille Fields, trois Prix Wolf, parmi ses chercheurs et anciens étudiants, sont autant de preuves de la longue tradition d'excellence de l'Université.
Fortement impliquée dans l'Espace européen de la recherche, l'ULB a notamment été labellisée HR Excellence in Research par l’Union européenne (EURAXESS) et a décroché un programme de financement européen (COFUND) pour accueillir des chercheurs post-doctoraux en mobilité. Elle a par ailleurs obtenu à ce jour, 49 bourses (24 starting, 12 consolidator, 11 advanced, 1 Synergy and 1 Proof of Concept Grants) de l'European Research Council (ERC) pour financer des recherches en médecine, mathématiques, sciences politiques, économie, physique, etc. Son Institut d'Études européennes est par ailleurs reconnu Pôle de recherche européen Jean Monnet pour ses travaux sur l'intégration européenne.
UN ENSEIGNEMENT DE QUALITÉ
Avec ses douze facultés, deux écoles et un institut, l'ULB couvre toutes les disciplines en associant très étroitement enseignement et recherche. Elle organise près de 40 programmes de 1er cycle (BA), 150 Masters, 6 Erasmus Mundus (2e cycle), plus de 65 Masters de spécialisation, et participe à 20 Écoles doctorales où près de 2000 doctorats sont en cours.
Soucieuse d'apporter à ses étudiants une solide formation de base, un esprit critique et le goût de la recherche, l'Université rencontre aussi les besoins de nouveaux publics.
UNE UNIVERSITE OUVERTE A LA DIVERSITÉ DES LANGUES ET DES CULTURES
Université francophone, l'Université libre de Bruxelles dispense l'essentiel de ses enseignements en français mais propose également une offre croissante de Masters partiellement ou entièrement en anglais. Afin d'améliorer les connaissances linguistiques des étudiants internationaux, l'Université offre un large éventail de cours de français, avant la rentrée et durant l'année académique.
UNE UNIVERSITE ENGAGÉE
Très attachée à offrir à chacun l'occasion de poursuivre des études supérieures, l'ULB a eu à cœur de développer divers types d'aides à l'intention des étudiants: soutien financier, psychologique, guidance, cours de perfectionnement en langue française, etc.
L'ULB est impliquée, depuis sa fondation en 1834, dans le combat sans cesse renouvelé pour la pensée critique et la liberté, qu'il concerne l'opposition aux dictatures ou aux autres dérives nationalistes, l'égalité des chances et bien d'autres enjeux sociétaux.
Fondée sur le principe du libre examen qui postule l'indépendance de la raison et le rejet de tout dogme, l'Université est restée fidèle à ses idéaux originels: une institution libre de toute tutelle, engagée dans la défense des valeurs démocratiques et humanistes.

- Engage with actors in the reuse sector and/or the social and solidarity economy in the management of the end-of-life of my equipment
- Integrate environmental requirements in my calls for tender and establish a dialogue and measurement elements over the duration of the service with my suppliers
- Ensuring that its suppliers and service providers comply with their GDPR requirements or follow the principles of the GDPR in compliance with locally applicable data protection rules for other countries, environmental, social and diversity
- Measure the energy consumption and impact of my Information System (multi-criteria analysis)
- Avoid unnecessary energy consumption e.g. by switching off at night, weekends and holidays
- Favouring low-impact energy sources
- Plan the archiving and cleaning of data with its teams to reduce their environmental footprint
- Measure the impact of its digital services (e.g. frequency of use or energy consumption) using a multi-criteria and global approach to the entire service (equipment, servers, networks, etc.)
- Reduce the environmental impact of its services: weight of images, videos, plugins, by favouring simpler or less energy-consuming solutions
- Promote work-life balance by, for example, respecting the right to disconnect and arranging for teleworking measures
- Favour the use of local and European tools in order to encourage the consolidation of players who respect the sovereignty of European data
- Develop in open source to enable virtuous emulation of its ecosystem
